She made all the decisions easy.

Christie made a daunting home renovation project pleasant. She is that unique combination of creative, professional, and practical. She has a great stylistic flair but always had my taste and style in mind. She presented her ideas professionally and invoiced on time. In addition, she thought about our lifestyle and ways to make our life easier. This could range from finding attractive grab-bars for the bathroom to flexible open shelving in the closets, to making the shower shelves large enough to accommodate family-size shampoo bottles!

We had so many decisions to make over the course of our whole-home renovation, from drawer pulls to rugs to furniture to lighting to paint, and she made the process seamless. She kept us on schedule so that we did not slow down the contractors. She would alert us when a selection was coming up and ask what we wanted. She would listen, offer her input, and then respond with a pared-down list of options for us. She remained in close communication with the architect and contractor to get the right specs and ensure we were ready with our selections at the right time. 

Christie was very responsive and always respectful of our budget. She even found and refinished an amazing mid-century media console from a Habitat for Humanity thrift shop! She would advise me on when it was important to pay more for quality and where we had opportunities to save. Her invoicing was timely and clear. 

We had never worked with an interior designer before and were afraid it meant being pressured into purchases and decisions we did not want to make. Our experience with Christie was the absolute opposite. She made everything easier and we think she saved us money! I don't know how we would have completed the project without her. I imagine it would have taken much longer, we would have spent more money on questionable purchases, and we would not be as thrilled with the finished product.

Finally, Christie is a cheerful, lovely person to be around. It was a pleasure spending time with her over the course of our project.
