How to Prepare for Your First Interior Design Consultation
We kick off our potential relationship with a free discovery call. We get to know you and your deepest design desires. We share the way we work to help you realize your dreams. If both of us feel comfortable together, we move on to an in-person consultation and introduction to your home.
You've saved images and kept a list of the things that need our attention to make your home look, feel and function the way you need it to. You may know your style, or you may need help defining it. We like to meet with as many of the members of your home as we can to be sure that we satisfy all of your most pressing needs.
Tip #1: Bring a Vision for How You Live
We ask that you leave the house as you really live when we first visit–piles and all. We will see pain points that you've learned to overlook, and we can correct them with clever storage solutions and space planning.
Tip #2: Gather the Important Details
Make sure you know what is most important to you. We love to create a curated home with layers of new and old furnishings. We need to know if you have an event deadline that we need to meet and which spaces need the most urgent attention.
Hopefully, you have established a budget for your changes. We can help define the scope and budget and sometimes divide it into manageable stages.
Tip #3: Be Open, Present, and Ready
Our objective is to make your home the sanctuary that your family deserves. We will give you ideas that hadn't occurred to you and hope that you will embrace changes that will enhance your life!
Our consultation will be the beginning of a wonderful creative relationship. We love the process of design and implementation. Renovation can be a fabulous adventure that runs smoothly, beginning with an informative and fun introduction.
